This photo was taken a few years ago on one of my first weddings as a second shooter. I was on video, so I think I was trying to get some close up action of the bride’s ring? Who knows.

As a kid I always loved running around with a camera. I’d force my friends to act in silly short films, and whenever there was a chance to make a video for an assignment at school, I’d jump right onto it because then it didn’t feel like an assignment anymore.

I’ve been working in media, photography and video in Newcastle for the last few years and I’m passionate about making the experience of a shoot as smooth and enjoyable as possible for whoever I’m working with. If it’s a couple at a wedding, I’m doing everything I can to serve them and make their day. Grimacing at a camera all day for a pretentious photographer is frankly a nightmare. My philosophy prioritises the experience of the people I’m working with with above everything else.

If that’s taken care of, the photos or film will take care of itself because I can rely on my skillset and taste to capture the beautiful moments that are already unfolding in front of me.
